Summit Activities Center
For the young and young at heart, the
134’ water slide and zero depth pool
Join your friends and family for a fun
afternoon or entertaining evening of
bowling at the Yankton Bowl Family
Fun Center. After you are done
bowling, order a pizza. Then, head
to the arcade where kids (and adults
too) can try their skill or luck on any
of the interactive games, competing
for tickets that you can turn in for
prizes at the end of your visit. Open
daily starting at noon.

Yankton College Office
Yankton College was the first
institution of higher learning in the
Dakota Territory, providing a quality
liberal arts education to thousands
before closing in 1985. Student
records, historical documents, college
memorabilia and merchandise
are available at the administrative
office located at the north end of the
Summit Activities Center. Open M-F
8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. or by appointment.

Veterans WWII South Dakota
Chapter, this historical marker is
located near the Missouri River
on the west side of the Meridian
Bridge. Scorpion was launched on
July 20, 1942 and their first patrol
was a hunting and mining mission
near Honshu, Japan in April 1943.
Scorpion went on three patrols that
earned her a battle star.

Veterans Memorial
RiverWalk brings outdoor art to
the streets and parks of downtown
Yankton. Volunteers of the non-profit
work with artists and civic leaders to
install and exhibit sculptures for the
entire community to enjoy.

USS Scorpion
Historical Marker
This memorial is dedicated to all
veterans, past, present and future,
whose sacrifices continue to protect our
freedom. The memorial was designed
to be up-lifting and reaching to the stars
with the bronze eagle taking flight. The
five granite pedestals display lasered
scenes particular to each branch of the
military.
