RiverWalk is a public art
project focused on bringing
outdoor sculptures to
downtown Yankton and
Riverside Park. New
sculptures will be installed
annually in May for the public
to enjoy. Each year the public
has the opportunity to vote
for their favorite sculpture,
the People’s Choice Award.
Votes will be tabulated at the
end of each year. The winner
will be announced each May,
at the sculpture artist
celebration. Download the

tour while learning about
each individual sculpture and

Marian Auditorium is a 630-seat proscenium theatre located in the
southwest corner of the Mount Marty College campus. The theatre has
been host to a variety of college and community events as well as
professional presenters and performers from across the globe. Many
events are free and open to the public and are promoted through the

The Riverside Park
Amphitheatre is available
for events throughout the
year. Concerts in the Park
are held every Tuesday at 8
p.m. during June, July and
August. Each week a
different band performs an
outdoor concert. Bands
come from outside Yankton,
as well as local groups. No
admission. The
amphitheatre is also
available for private
functions, to make
reservations contact the
Parks and Recreation Department.

Yankton High School and community events are held at the Summit
Activities Center Theatre throughout the year. The main theatre seats 976
and has advanced light and sound, overhead screen and a large stage. The
lecture theatre seats 106 and has a retractable wall, dry board and
