Karttrax Family Fun Park provides hours of entertainment for the whole
family with a miniature golf, go-karts, bumper cars, bumper boats,
two tracks, two seaters, kiddie go-karts, kiddie train, concessions and an
arcade. Spring and Fall open on weekends from 1-4 p.m. or later. Summer
hours Sunday-Thursday 1-9 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 1-10 p.m.

Kayaking and Canoeing
Lewis and Clark Lake, Lake Yankton and
the Missouri National Recreational River
provide many miles of water and shoreline
to explore by kayak or canoe! The
beautiful chalkstone bluffs along the lake
and river provide a scenic backdrop for
people who like to travel across deep and
wide waters, see beautiful natural history,
enjoy scenery and view wildlife. Lake
Yankton has a “no wake” rule which is
great for beginners to kayaking and
canoeing. The recreational river is a unit
of the National Park System and part of the nation’s Wild and Scenic Rivers

www.mnrrwatertrail.org. Kayaks and canoes can also be rented from DJ’S
Specialty Resort & Sports Rentals, (605) 665-3206. Get out and explore this

The Kiwanis 4-H Ice Center is the home of Yankton Bucks and Miracle
Hockey as well as the Yankton Figure Skating program. Additionally, various
horse and livestock events are held during the summer months.
Public open ice skating sessions are available November through early

Take a covered wagon tour through the elk and
buffalo herds, as you take in views of the Niobrara
River. A guide informs visitors along the way of
how the elk and buffalo are raised and the
products made from them. Also featured are
fallow deer and a longhorn steer named, Boomer.
Visitors of all ages enjoy hand feeding the elk and
buffalo. Tours are available May 24 through
September 28. Reservations are required.

Boating, camping, fishing, jet skiing,
kayaking, sailing, swimming, tubing
and waterskiing are just some of the
activities you can enjoy! The
Recreation Area offers over 400
campsites, 17 primitive camping cabins
and 4 boat ramps. Lewis & Clark Resort
and Lewis & Clark Marina and
restaurant are located in the recreation
area. The Lewis & Clark Resort has
24 motel rooms, 17 modern cabins
and a 6-bedroom lodge featuring a
1,800 sq. ft. grand room for your family
reunions or corporation retreats.
Lewis & Clark Marina has over 400 boat
slips, fuel, boat rentals, mechanics and
a convenience store. There are numerous beaches, picnic shelter facilities,
play equipment and trails in the state park. A park entrance license is
required to use the area; $6/day or $30 for an annual permit. Nearby Lake
Yankton and the Missouri River also provide hours of entertainment for the
young and old alike.

The Memorial Park Municipal Pool is open in the months of June, July, and
August, weather permitting. The pool has heated water and is maintained
at approximately 80ºF. The pool is a 50 meter Olympic sized pool. It has
four diving boards, two one-meter boards and two three-meter boards.
There is also an adult-child wading pool which is separate from the main
pool and is open the same hours as the main pool but with no admission
charge.
